Technically, you are only supposed to use the ampersand ligature in names of companies, etc. Even in a more contemporary approach, it should only be used in titles set in display point sizes or higher (15 to 72 and up).
So, your little experiment, is a grammatical folly.

Fuck that shit! Too many people don't care in the slightest about even trying to make their words efficient and grammatically correct. Considering the central part that interpersonal communication plays in all human-to-human interaction, it seems wrong to deride the effort to be more proper. I don't intend to offend; being an immigrant and bilingual, I feel rather strongly about language and its use.

There's a secret on Hell where all of a user's posts are replaced by "pika pika chuuuuu" and they have a pikachu avatar. This is typically done to silence an annoying user -- and it's great fun since they still see their own posts and don't know what's going on.
